This is my first blog post. I want to tell you about corruption in the Arizona legislature. Arizona has nearly zero laws about legislative conflicts of interest. Many at the capitol profit from the issues they vote on. From charter schools to utility companies, there is no barrier to anyone deciding laws that put money directly in their pockets. After that, one state senator is running for Congress and took $50K she raised for her state run and gave it to a PAC that supports her federal run. She did not give her donors the opportunity to ask for their money back. Her congressional campaign is not allowed to work with the PAC. Our Republican Attorney General is investigating. If she wins, he will probably do nothing as he has done with so many other party hacks that violate campaign laws. But, let’s not any of us dare to help with traffic congestion when police are standing by doing nothing.
